Two methods for mutton carcass preparing

In mutton slaughterhouse, there will be several methods to prepare the carcass before its carcass processing procedure.

 

In the past, some of the abattoir worker will burn the hair out because of its convenience. But the carcass will have the bad smell and it need to be wiped clean with knives, which is actually not very convenient.

 

Abattoir workers are always smart to figure out new ways to solve this problem.

 

According to local traditional preparing demand, the carcass will be prepared with skin or without skin. Carcass with skin is mostly for Southern China, and the other is for Northern China. Also, we can also prepare it following the customer demand.

 

To achieve this result, we have two mostly used methods for the carcass preparing:

1, hair removing method (also called dehairing method)

2, skin peeling method

 

Both methods can be done by labor, however, we would better get machine involved.

 

Method 1: we can use sheep scalding machine and deharing machine as the helper. Sheep with hair will be scalded first, and then put into the sheep deharing machine to remove the hair.

 

Method 2: we can use sheep skin peeling machine. Sheep with hair will need a pre-peeling procedure, to provide a holding point for skin peeling machine. And skin will be peeled off as the roller rotating.
